Welcome to AKASF's community web site that includes a membership center and online store ("Site"). The Association of Korean Adoptees – San Francisco ("AKASF") is committed to serving the greater adoptee community and their families. We are equally committed to protecting your privacy.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you including your membership applications and other forms.
  • Information about your transactions with us such as membership payments, donations on line and purchase of product or services and event registration

We will allow any of this information we collect, as described above, except to as required to provide the specific membership registration, program and event services you have enrolled in.

In order to fulfill our obligations of your membership or event registration, we may disclose all of the information collected, as described above, to partners that perform specific services on our behalf.

To protect our members' privacy, we only work with partners and companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these partners or companies to sell the information we provide to other third parties.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of its members. Members can help by following these simple guidelines:

  • Protect your account numbers, PINs (personal identification numbers) or passwords.
  • Keep your information with us current. If your address or phone number changes, please let us know.
  • It is important that we have current information on how to reach you. If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity or use of an account, we will attempt to contact you immediately.
